I'm Daliya, a certified yoga instructor with expertise in multiple styles. Creator of the SacralBodyMethod. My journey into yoga commenced in 2007, initially as a means to maintain physical well-being and alleviate the strains incurred from my rigorous ballet training. However, it wasn't until an injury befell me that yoga revealed itself as a profound source of healing and ignited a deep-seated passion within me.
My background stems from classical ballet training at the prestigious National School of Bulgaria. Despite consciously choosing not to complete my ballet education, opting instead to pursue studies in political science, the discipline and artistry ingrained in me from ballet continue to inform my approach to yoga.
After obtaining a master's degree in cultural diplomacy and international relations, I ventured into the political arena. However, my experience in this field proved disheartening, as it failed to resonate with my moral compass, leading to physical ailments and a profound sense of disconnection. In 2022, recognizing the toll it was taking on my well-being, I made the courageous decision to depart from my full-time job and prioritize my mental and physical health.
Subsequently, I embarked on my yoga teaching journey immediately following my teacher training. Witnessing the transformative impact of yoga on individuals, both physically and mentally, has been immensely fulfilling. It's a realization of my longstanding desire to positively impact people's lives, a goal I initially thought I could achieve through politics. Yet, through yoga, I've found a profound avenue for holistic well-being and genuine connection with others.
My yoga method is a carefully curated fusion of various styles, including the fluidity of Vinyasa, the strength of Ashtanga, the balance of Hatha, the vitality of Power, the force of breathing techniques, and the essence centered on the core of Pilates and classical ballet.
This harmonious blend allows me to dynamically lead my students with purpose, highlighting the sacred architecture of the body and aligning every movement with conscious breathing. Embracing this mindful approach, my lessons reveal the hidden depths of physical and mental capabilities, surpassing common expectations and encouraging participants to explore their true potential.
During my teachings, I emphasize the vital role of pranayama, the art of breath control, as an essential component of yoga. I firmly believe that pranayama is fundamental not only for physical well-being but also plays a key role in promoting mental health. Through pranayama, I guide my students to reduce stress, improve concentration, and promote overall balance.
